The Flow team has a tentative plan to deploy a new [`CrossVMMetadataViews` contract](https://github.com/onflow/flow-nft/blob/master/contracts/CrossVMMetadataViews.cdc) to the NonFungibleToken smart contract account on mainnet on Feb 20th, 2025. This is a non-breaking change and will add metadata views that projects can implement to allow custom bridged tokens with the Flow VM bridge. More details about the change below. The testnet contract is already deployed at [Account 0x631e88ae7f1d7c20 | Contract Browser](https://contractbrowser.com/account/0x631e88ae7f1d7c20/contracts) Assuming that the contract on testnet is tested successfully and there is no other feedback, mainnet deployment will be on Thursday, February 20th. They are also encouraged to use these new views in their own NFT smart contracts and apps.
